6 exercises for instant mental clarity and calmness in the middle of stress, anxiety, and chaos

In the heat of the moment, doesn’t it almost feel like things are escalating out of anyone’s control? This lack of uncertainty propels the stress and anxiety through the roof and it seems like a runaway train you can’t stop.

What can you do in the middle of the storm when everything uproots around you, and try not blow away with everything else?

In this post, I will discuss 6 things that you can do in the middle of stressful, painful, of chaotic situation to help you get calmer, clearer, and put everything into a better perspective even just for a moment. From this place you have a better idea of which action to take to rectify any situation longer term and short term.

These are also perfect for anxiety and panic attacks weather in private or in public.

  1. Deep Abdominal breathing

This is one of the most popular, easiest, and most effective ways to gain mental clarity and peace in the middle of a storm. By doing this your mind resets slightly and it puts your body less anxiety, tension, and out of survival mode. This combination will force you to calm down and assess not only the situation in front of you in a less clouded way, but will also help you identify the best way for you to react to that situation.

You will make decisions and find solutions to problems in a way that gives you power and does not have you a victim of reacting, circumstance, or misguided emotions.

  1. Remember a moment instantaneously that you felt happy

Another great reset is to mentally visualize a memory that was the polar opposite of the one you are currently in. This will throw of your momentum of escalating with the situation around you off and kind of put you in a little bit of limbo where you are able to see both sides of the spectrum. Then you will be able to make an informed, realistic, and balanced next step.

In this limbo, your body will automatically seek to become one with your mind and your physical symptoms of anxiety and stress will also begin to cease immediately.

  1. Ground yourself with noticing objects in room

This one is best applied when you are feeling the momentum of anxiety build up within you like an unstoppable train. That moment you get anxiety about your seemingly unstoppable anxiety. You apply this one by looking at the details of 10 things in your surroundings, it doesn’t matter what they are. This works by taking your attention from the situation to the outer world for a moment and helps your mind instantly to have a more rounded perspective and react in a more knowledgeable way when you come mentally return to the situation at hand.

  1. Smell some essential oils

You can do this one of two ways: you can put some oils on your wrists and neck each morning, or you can have a bottle of essential oils in your purse or desk that are ready at a moment’s notice. Prior, during, or after a largely stressful situation take deep whiff of your essential oil and pause just for a moment and bask in the experience. After that moment, you will find you have hit the reset button, or at least a wave of calmness has washed over you to where you can at least function better than prior. Either of these work because of the mental and physical wellness benefits of essential oils and their profound effects to activate instant calm, clarity, and overall reduce internal stress.

  1. Imagine your connection to your source

This one is great for feeling like you are just ablow in a sea of pain and uncertainty. Something especially important for empaths. This exercise makes you feel like you have at least one solid support to stand on. You can do either of these things and they both work just fine.

In the middle of a horrible conflict or stressful situation, you can visualize a white light beaming down into the middle of your head and putting you into a cone of peace and calmness in which no one can actually hurt you. It internally removes you from the situation, giving you calmness and a new less biased perspective. The other one is: when in the middle of the a mad situation, you can imagine that there are roots extending from your feet into the core of the earth like a tree. This makes you feel strong, immovable, and secure no matter what.

This visualization is another mental trick to ground you in the midst of things that threaten your inner peace and to internally concentrate strength in the face of obstacles and pain. It reminds you that the things painful things that happen to you are not who you are and therefore you have power and a choice in how you deal with it.

  1. Think about the perfect outcome and live in that moment instead

A lot of times the reactivity of a situation is perpetuated by the uncertainty it introduces to life. You literally have no idea what will happen so you start making decisions in the limited vision of survival mode. So many live in this mode 24/7 and because of this it is no wonder they end up self-sabotaging themselves constantly. They are not thinking clearly 90% of the time because they are just reacting to the uncertainty of all the possibilities.

When in the throws of a difficult situation, remove the uncertainty and survival response by imagining what you believe is the best outcome. Just imaging this will clear your energetic field as well as introduce clarity and peace to your mind so you won’t fall in the never-ending pit of reactivity, struggle, and fighting.

The storm has not come to bear down on you or break you, but to understand where your strength actually comes from: you.

These above 6 exercises will help you to root yourself, gain clarity in uncertainty, and gain control over the only thing you do control: you.

Using these exercises you will become a conscious independent being that can make sound choices and decisions for their own happiness and the benefit of others.

Make no mistake, all the power lies within you already.

Much love and light to you.

How do you know the best time to launch toward your purpose and passion?

Timing is one of the keys to purpose and manifesting your dreams.

All these feelings are bubbling up inside, how do you know which one to take? And furthermore, how do I know it will work?

Valid questions, but you don’t have to have all the answers right now. No one ever does.

Having a clear vision is the end of the path, and being that it is the end, it will point to clues and checkpoints along the way. In a way your problem and vision, already contains the solution.

You’ve done all your research and the checkpoints are clear, but how do you know that all the pieces will fall into place?

While no one knows that, you will find that you have a light internally that knows the way. This light is often activated when someone has come upon their purpose or mission in life. This sparks the spirit in a way that allows you to just know that it’s what you have to do.

Yes that’s good and all, but how will you know when external things are lining up with your inner feelings at the perfect time?

In this post, we will cover the internal and external signs that your purpose is near and the time is to act now.

  1. You will be clear on action

You will have done all of your research and you are clear on your first 3 steps to springboard you to getting started on your dream. This does not mean that you will not be uncertain and know each step of the process exactly, but it means that you will the know the general framework of the stages you need to go through.

This action you can feel in your bones is the right one and your intuition will be on fire telling you that you need to start. Taking this step will not only satisfy your inner drive and desire, but will also give you peace because you will be taking a step to become the architect of your life.

  1. You will feel relaxed, yet anxious

You will just feel that your destiny is at hand. It is apparent internally that you are on the right path and stepping into this next chapter will take you to the higher mountain you seek. Although you might be a little uncertain about the outcome, you just know In your spirit you have to try.

You are aware still that bad things could happen, and you acknowledge this, but it does not scare you. You will feel that what’s meant to happen will happen and if it crashes, at least you would be happy you tried to achieve your dream.

  1. Your dream will be realer than ever before

You’re dreaming about it, you’re writing it down, and you’re planning what you’ll do once you get your dream. In a lot of ways, this amazing reality is much more real than your current one because it allows you to be all of who you are. You find yourself having trouble keeping them separate sometimes. But because this dream allows you so much joy, that joy bleeds into everything else you do.

Even if your dream has not manifested yet, you will already feel like you are there. This is something most often associated with “The Law of Attraction.” It is a sign that your manifestation is close because your spirit can feel you finishing your quest while you are still on the journey.

  1. You develop clarity in all areas of your life

As you are taking action to move towards your next step, you will be able to see through your present with new eyes. From your new perspective of possibilities, peace, and calmness, you will approach everything in your life in that fashion. New solutions will begin to just come to you from every portion of your life, and your life will become easier and less abrasive to you because of your newfound purpose and peace.

Things that you couldn’t navigate before or that caused your great pain will no longer put you in a state of pain and irritation that it used to. Things will feel much smoother. Circumstances around you will either just work out, or fade to the background as you move to your new future.

  1. You know you do not want to regret not trying

The urge within you will be so great that it almost transcends time. You see where you are, where you’ve been, and your possibilities for the future. You no longer can imagine your future not fulfilling your purpose. It is not necessarily painful without it, but you just know that you will not be able to become your full self without achieving this dream. It is like it is the core of your existence and you cannot see yourself being apart from it.

You just know that you will not be able to move forward and flourish in your life without this dream being a part of your reality and mission. It will power you past any obstacles, mental barriers, or internal fears to stop what you know is a part of you.

Knowing when it is your time is the essence of having all things align in your favor. This knowing stems from the inside and is the light that will guide you along the path when all other lights go out. This knowing will give you the knowledge of where to look for information, which course to take, which people to trust, and most importantly manifesting your internal mission of happiness.

You have the vision, the knowing will gladly supply the way.

When the timing is right for your purpose, you will feel it I assure you.

Much love and light to you.

How can you be detached from reality in a healthy way?

With everything going on, how do you not curl up into a ball of fear, hopelessness, and despair?

How do you not fall for every wind of “news” or “theory” that comes by claiming to be fact?

How do you discern truth and find your inner peace to power through uncertainty?

At a certain level, we have to detach from the external. Now this does not mean putting your head under a rock or in the sand. You can still be knowledgeable and informed, just not reacting to everything.

All of the outside information you receive should be taken with neutrality until you find the whole picture in order to consult yourself as to what you believe and what you don’t. Detaching and being neutral to a certain extent gives you the power of choice and places you above reactivity.

But with all this stuff being pumped 24/7, how do you even do that?

Below are 4 ways you can begin detaching right now to uncover you power of choice, discernment, and inner peace.

  1. Feel gratitude for all that you have

The first step to being detached is getting used to a state of bliss. The easiest way to do this is to get in the state of gratitude for all the large and small things of your life. This peace will calm a great deal of anxiety in your body and mind, making you less able to be affected by people and forces that try to put you in anger or fear.

The reason that this is important is because you are drawing from your own column of inner thankfulness, you are able to approach life from an even head. You will be able to make clearer and sound decisions in your exterior life, as well as be able to work out personal internal struggles you are working with.

This introspection and detachment does not mean you live in a false place, it just allows you a chance to think and make decisions with less outside influence. Less confusion, more clarity, more happiness.

  1. Do not let other people’s reality become yours

Another step towards healthy detachment is being the source of your judgment. How you see the world around you should not me a conglomeration of other’s views. Instead it should be your own personal interpretation of everything around you. When you look at things you have to take a change and decide what they mean to you, who you are, and how you relate to the world around you.

Too many people watch other things to tell them how to think and act instead of consulting themselves. Oftentimes many feel that this is dangerous or painful, because in order to do this there is a certain level or internal peace and honesty required. Most people do not have this and don’t want to try, so they get others people’s reactions as a quick fix, and adopt them as their own.

Detaching from consulting the “other” is a main key to detaching. Knowingly set an intention to become the architect of your own reality and stop being in default mode and adopting fake realities of others. A good way to start to do this is by asking 3 questions:

What do I feel about the world around me? Why?

What is my scope of change in my environment? Why?

How do I define myself internally and externally? Why?

  1. Remember every moment is anew

Past, being the nature that it is, cannot be changed. The future, also being as it is, cannot be known for certain due to the thousands of variables. So then, where can you put your focus for maximum enjoyment and purpose? Right now. Your present.

Think of that moment when everything escapes your mind in the middle of a sentence and you forget what you were saying. How does that even happen, how can you just forget everything you are thinking? If you are a combination of the thoughts you make, then who were you when the thoughts escaped your mind? You were still you. This simple observation vies for the possibility that not only can you chose new thoughts and feelings every moment, but you are apart from the previous “idea” of yourself.

Coming from this train of thought, live every moment of your life not only for the future pleasurable experiences, but also the pleasurable things for experience right now. Yes you can experience the future like it is now, but it is distinctly different from the present. How many choices do you have right this moment? Thousands. Knowing every moment is new gives you the ability to be free from limitations and dogma of predictability that can be placed on you from the outside. You realize by living in the present that there are no limits to being you.

  1. Know the realm of infinite possibility

Yes there are a lot of things that are predictable, but nothing is really predetermined. You may think so at first thought, but think of all of the insane freak accidents that have occurred that never “should” have happened. How then, did they happen? Without getting too deep in quantum physics, those things happened because there actually was nothing “stopping” that from happening. Being that we live in a field of energy within an infinite amount of choices from you, every person, every animal, and nature there is not much you can rule out as an impossibility.

From this same train of thought then, there probably isn’t much holding you back either. Overthinking does hold a lot of people back, but it is once again just a thought- and you have the choice to choose a different one as discussed above. Past feeling might be holding you back but once again, they are in the past and cannot be changed or fixed. You internally harping on them is not fixing anything. The pain from that can be processed and healed and once that happens, you’ll find you will forget the experience entirely. Solving these is actually simple, not easy all the time, but simple.

Once you work to find what is holding you back, address it and realize that living within that construct of pain, anxiety, etc is a choice. You, like a new sun each morning can rise anew and can make an infinite amount of choices to change all the things you though were predictable.

By mental breaking free from predictable dogma and oppressive social constructs, you can live in the realm of possibility that is actually the nature of the universe and even who you are on the inside.

Being detached is the key to freely flourishing into who you are internally and externally. No longer are you swayed by every wind of dogma or perspective that comes by and you become a powerful and discretionary emotionally independent person.

Detaching is the key to choice and the key to maintaining your true freedom, truth, and purpose.

The 6 part process to transform you into an independent, self-sufficient, and self-reliant person

Most people live as a passive, unwilling victim of their circumstances and their “Story.”
While no one is invalidating the truth of where they are coming from, these beliefs have bad after affects that impede them living in their power and freeing themselves from the red tape.

Yea, they say, easier said than done.
But done is the simplest part honestly.
Doing the inner work might seem like a maze and a labyrinth of sinkholes and pain from unresolved issues. But it doesn’t have to be.
There might be pain, but it’s ok because healing the wounds is the only way to move past the chains of your surroundings and yourself.
Below you will learn 6 simple methods that together will free you to become your own self sufficient and independence person.

1. Determine the why’s of your beliefs

Think of the age old question “Tell me a little bit about yourself?” This question is so loaded because it tries to condense your intricacies into smaller phrases, words and statements. You yourself know you are so much more than just those words because you know why you say those things. This same space is powerful to do the necessary introspection that produces independent thinking.
What do you “believe” about the nature of yourself, and the world around you? And more importantly, why do you believe those things? Acknowledging this will free you from being in a reactive state, swayed by dogma, or taken advantage of. The clarity of this with yourself will make you a powerful self sufficient person that can overcome any obstacle or problem and make good decisions.

2. Clean up inner emotions and outer emotions for mental clarity.

We have this horrible stigma in Western Society that emotions are bad. While sometimes moods can be problem some, emotions are not the root of all evil. Where did this idea even come from? After all we are emotional creatures and it is within our nature.
I think most would agree that emotions are not the problem, but resulting emotional imbalances from the past is the real problems. Most insane emotions are trickle-downs from other unresolved issues. Coughing down this issues puts you into an emotional survival mode to cover up the issue and over time begins to control you. You become a slave to your triggers, fears, and past experiences.
To achieve independence from allowing the past to control you is to approach the touchy situation with a sense of neutrality, as if you were telling someone else. This way may be painful and it will resurface; let it do so and validate your own feelings. By stating the facts and validating your feelings you have realized your true power and are no longer a victim. Both parts of you are at peace: your logic and your emotion. From this balanced place, you have the power to allow that past situation to not snowball and derail your life and future.

3. Determine the obstacles that you back. Be honest and don’t sugar coat.

So many people feel like they have no idea what they want to do. Most times this is because they are so disconnected from themselves that they have no idea how to tell what their soul is drawn to. This is perfectly ok. Just start from wherever you are and think and do things that make you deeply happy. Do this a lot, knowing and practicing the feeling of genuine happiness will open internal doors within you to reveal your passions and make the path clear.
While you’re doing this peacefully without judgement regularly, you will intuitively know what steps are necessary to do some of your wants and dreams. What is stopping you from doing those things? are your barriers external or internal?
Understanding and seeing your internal and external barriers is not about knocking them down, it is about realizing that they never existed. This ability to see around internal and external obstacles is key to being an independent person who can fully be who they are and understand their purpose and true joy. This puts you in the drivers seat of your life. Moving past barriers internally will make you a whizz at moving the external barriers that approach you along the way to your passion and path. You will be an unstoppable force.

4. Decide their own version of the truth they stand on and approach the world with.

In an endless ocean of information and opinions, what you pay attention to says a lot about you. Of the information you consume, do you consume the information to tell you what to think, or to use it to form your own opinion?
Figuring out what you believe separate from external stimuli is the very meaning of independence. It allows you to plot your own course and decide the direction of your energy and your place in the universe.

5. Understand finances where they are now, and where they want to be

Money is a real thing. I understand that some people don’t care about it, and it is good not to be attached to it…… but it’s not healthy to pretend it’s not there. Finances is a part of life, and understanding yours will fix a lot of your uncertainty.
Taking a step into financial literacy will put you in the drivers seat of life and illuminate the path of self sufficiency. You want to live your life on your own terms internally and externally as well. Be a slave to nothing.
Determine what you can do to make money enough to the things you want. Remember that money is not the goal, the way you want to feel is. Money is owned by you it does not own you.
Financial honestly and literacy one of the keys to seeing internal and external independence. The sooner you start, you’ll wonder why you didn’t start sooner.

6. Becoming of self aware of the present moment

Of the past, present, or future, which holds your power now? The present. Your power is within the present, and this also can control your future. The actions and decisions you make today change your world forever to affect your past and future. This is powerful and is the key to taking action to become your own person.
So many people are controlled by what they think their future would be, or what their past was. Yes those may be real, but neither of those are within your power right now. Be in your power!
Become independent and a soaring star by taking responsibility for your present, not to change your views of the past, not just for your future, but also for the pleasure and power of this moment.
This way you become free from hypothetical what-ifs, overthinking, and made-up obstacles.

Becoming independent is the only way to free yourself period.
This does not mean not relying on other people for somethings. It just means that at the end of the day you are the only one that holds the present and future keys to your life and your story.
Great pleasure and responsibility wait at the door of your self-reliance independence.

Much love and light to you.

How do you discover personal freedom and mental and emotional independence?

Gaining true independence seems so big, it almost overwhelms you to even think about it.

At first glance the crushing weight of responsibility threatens to smash you flat.

Before you dismiss it completely, if you are patient with yourself, you will find the road to independence is smooth, steady, and filled with wonder and joy.

If you are willing to be loving and patient with yourself, you will find that the chains that stop your independence would fall off quite easily and simply.

So many people are trapped in a spiritually and physically codependent state with the environment and the people around them. They react to the things around them, either good or bad, and from there use it to define the way they view the world around them as well as themselves. This is destined for sadness and dissatisfaction.

Being in this reactive state puts you at odds with who you really are and robs you of your independence.

In this post I will explore 6 techniques to try to gain mental and eventually physical independence from the world around you to evolve into your own empowered free individual.

  1. Challenge beliefs and assumptions

The first way to gain independence, is to challenge the things you think you know. Take a step back in self reflection and think of how you relate to the yourself, your life, and the world around you.

By doing this, you will dissect your logical processes and expose assumptions that make up how you define yourself and your environment. How many things that you believe actually came from you conscious choice? Picking apart the things you believe will not only give you confidence in yourself, but also will free you from any hindering beliefs and assumptions that are not even your own.

Write down 5-7 concepts that in a nutshell explain you, your place in the world, and the world around you. Think of how you came to believe these things? Did they come from you, or did you just attach them to your psyche from other people?

  1. Do things that makes you happy

Another way to gain independence is to take your happiness in your own hands by consistently doing things that make you happy. During this process, you can realize that you are in control of how you feel, and no one else can truly make you fully happy except you.

Taking charge of your own happiness and how you feel will not only liberate you from the chains of your environment, but it will inspire you to find more things that make you happy. Over time you will have a brand new outlook on life and develop an insatiable desire for growth, expansion, and freedom.

  1. Define your goals w/out any external options

The next way to gain independence is to define goals and dreams that you have without the judging them with assumptions and stereotypes from the outside world.

By being honest about the things you want out of life, you break free from familial pressure, social norms and chains, and move uninhibited toward your life purpose. Putting your goals into perspective in relation to where you are, will inspire your unique perspective, creativity, and originality to develop your own plan to get there. You’ll surprise yourself with how you’ll be able to gather information and figure it all out.

  1. Soothe/comfort yourself

A way to gain an insurmountable amount of Independence is to become emotionally self-sustaining. Everyone has things that have happened that hurt them in the past. Sometimes if you have trouble healing, you often seek solace through depending on others to make you forget, give you a solution, or chase the pain away. Not only is this not sustainable, but it encourages codependency and mental slavery.

Breaking free of that type of bondage is the key to your spiritual freedom. Knowing how to take alone time for yourself, reflect and process how you are feeling, and let things go is a super power that can take you through anything in life.

  1. Understand finances and where you stand

So much financial information and knowledge is hidden from certain groups of people. Most people unfortunately know how to build everything else but true wealth. Why is this? This is because people have been trained into being in the dark financially and to blindly follow others who seem to have it, feeling you are doomed to never have their own.

By seeking out financial literacy and sustainability, you will feel more in charge of your future than ever before. Seeing the many financial possibilities and wealth opportunities opens up to accomplish all your dreams, pursue every pleasure you have, and support your family and lifestyle.

  1. Self discovery and mental clarity

Sometimes it feels like you just are floating along in a numb state of reacting into the world around you. You might feel your power is taken away form you and you don’t know how to take it back and gain your discretion and independence.

The first step to taking your power back is discovering yourself. This you do through self reflection and inner work. Instead of tackling this right away hear on, you can relax your way into it with things such as medication, yoga, and Tai Chi. These activities are relaxing to both the body and mind, and can significantly propel forward the mental clarity needed to uncover who you are. Other than those things, you can also start doing your passion and the “flow” state from that will uncover more and more about yourself.

The goal here is to discovery yourself furthermore your voice within yourself and within your world.

  1. Form self generated habits/routines

A great for of independence is developing your own routine and lifestyle.

This builds on the other techniques earlier of self-discovery and emotional sustainability. Based on those things and researching into your views, you can develop a set of activities that empower you to life your best life inside and out.

This can be absolutely anything from running in the mornings, to meditating for 5 minutes, to a special self affirmation routine you do before work every morning. Taking the time to develop and implement things that make your life better if a priceless change that will not only make you more independent, but also skyrocket your confidence and self-esteem.

Independence is the door to your spiritual awakening and awakening your joy and purpose in life.

By cultivating your own independence, you allow yourself to awaken your purpose passion and uniqueness within you and move forward to live the life your inner self knows it can.

Try these and you will not be disappointed.

Grown and flourish with your independence unapologetically.

Love and light to you.

How do you inspire positive originality and creativity to fuel passion in your life?

The people really living their passion did so through their unique creativity and originality.

How did they even do that? Hasn’t everything been created already?

It would seem that way, but there is an infinite amount more to create. Such is the nature of the universe.

If there was not more to create, you would not exist in all of your wonderful uniqueness.

But how to do you get inspired to release your creative juices onto the world?

Ridding yourself of the shackles that bond you to conformity is a little hard at first, but with practice you’ll open right up.

In this post we will explore 6 simple techniques you can use to inspire creativity that will allow you to succeed in any niche your choose.

  1. Join a community of creatives

If you are not sure how to get started on the idea that’s brewing in your mind, exchanging with others might trigger your missing piece. When you talk to people within your same field you find all sorts of insights, tips, and ideas that are actually useful and relevant.

How though?

Yes you can go and join a closed community that you have to pay for, but there are hundreds that are absolutely free. Yes there are some on Facebook where you talk and share directly, but there are some others that give all types of juicy info about people your field like Quora, Pinterest, Instagram, and Sub-Reddits. Also searching for forums for your field in Google works great, and some you pay for, but most of the them just ask you for your email for marketing purposes.

This has done me a world of difference.

  1. Idea notebook

Thousands of thoughts stream through your mind everyday about literally everything within your subconscious and conscious mind. While your mind can hold an infinite amount of things, when you are in the flow state used in creative work, your mind is completely open and is focused on expanding rather than storing a lot of the random inspiration that occurs.

How though?

Just get an old notebook, or buy a small transportable notebook from the dollar store. Try to carry this notebook around with you more often than not. You can start with your plan and goals to get the creative juices going but do not get specific. Without specifics, you will make it more open ended and therefore open yourself to an abundance of possibilities and brainstorming. Write the things your randomly think of relating to your goal, you’ll be surprised the amazing things you come up with.

  1. Do something fun

Despite popular belief there are sooo many things to do wherever you are. In a more city area there are things like painting socials, jazz clubs, and boat tours for those who like to sit and socialize. But there are also physically involved things such as hikes, trampoline parks, laser tags, escape rooms, or even arcades.

How though?

By giving your mind a break and not mulling over the same things in the same place continuously, once you get back to your work your mind will be much clearer. Not only will it be easier to focus once you have stepped away, you will probably have different ways of looking at the task at hand; opening you up to different ideas and executions.

  1. Learn from others

Within each field there are many greats and trailblazers. By looking at their stories and strategies for success, not only will you feel you can do it to, but it will give you a wealth of ideas and strategies for yourself. It is important to note that you do not copy anyone, because although that person is phenomenal and smart, you are unique also and have something special to offer. That being said, you can follow their template, but make sure you follow your unique own inspiration to make it personal to you.

How though?

You can look at biographies of large names in your field, but there are also other ways. Another way is to look at your industry and see what companies, or names are standing out. From there you can research their company and figure out their strategies, marketing, sourcing, or anything you feel fuzzy about. Then from there customize it to your own vision and process.

  1. Create w/ no outside influence

Sometimes when working on something we jump to the end of the game. “What will other people think?” “Will this sell?” “What if everyone else hates it?” While these are semi valid questions, they actually greatly impede the creative process. By worrying about an appearance of an end product, it makes you less likely to draw on your unique inspiration and ideas; it prevents you from getting into your “flow.”

How though?

Create as if no one else’s approval matters except yours. This is not only a great way to live life, but it is also great for creation because it is the only way you keep your work completely original. There is nothing wrong with packaging it so it sells a little better on the outside, but at it’s essence the work needs to be completely original and uninhibited.

  1. Loosen certain limits/tighten others

Maybe you’re being a little too strict in the way you want to execute. Sometimes our strictness can place barriers on the things we want to create and how we achieve our goals. Sometimes these are the very things that block out your ‘Aha’ Moment.

How though?

Think about the musts that you have for your goal, write them down. Think about the flexible items that you have and write those down too. Looking at both of these lists, think of your end product. Out of these items on the list, which ones are a must to the end product and which ones aren’t. What can inspire me to motivate positivity in myself and others while living my passion?

Lost in a sea of confusion, it is growing increasingly hard to find inspiration and peace.

There is so much going on that you feel like you are in the midst of whiplash and peril.

You want to do something to help, but you have no idea how you can. This depresses you and makes you more angry and frustrated.

How do you find the inspiration to help people and free yourself? You know kind of how it feels but how do you get even there?

This post will detail 7 things you can do to awaken inspiration and passion within yourself that you can start today immediately.

You won’t be sorry I promise <3

1.    Seeing nature

A way to induce inspiration within yourself is to experience the completeness, beauty, and complexity of nature.

Get started now:

Of course you can go into nature and hike or meditate if you are able, but if you cannot that is ok to. If you are surrounded in walls of bricks and concrete, try looking at your perfect natural landscape online, relax and meditate; try to visualize yourself there. This may be hard at first, but over time it will be easier and relaxing. Then when the time is right, you can venture into nature in person.

2.    Listening to music

Another way to induce inspiration is listening to relaxing music to soothe your mind by raising your mental frequency to reduce mental clutter and getting to the real you.

Get started now:

Instead of listening to the music you usually listen to, try something a little different. You don’t have to start of just listening to classical music cold turkey, but you can slowly progress toward more relaxing forms of music. The science behind this is that with a more relaxed and clear mind, you will be able to break down barriers and constructs within yourself to do those things that you dream of.

Great transition music is Lo-fi Music. I love this stuff and I’m sure you will to. It’s a more modern electronic version of “calming” music.

3.    Seeing someone in flow

Seeing someone in their element, or in their flow state, will inspire you to get into yours.

Get started now:

You can search videos of people doing their passion. This could be anything from sports, music performances, public speakers, or even researchers speaking about their work. The way that someone lights up with their passion sparks an innate response in you to find your own “flow” passionate state.

4.    Seeing someone in pure joy or gratitude

Seeing someone in pure joy and/or gratitude can inspire you to feel that way internally, and to help others feel that way also.

Get started now:

Go out and help people either in your family or in your community. Experience the joy that you get from giving others joy, and then the gratitude they show you for your help. This frequency is powerful and will inspire you to find all types of ways to want to help others and yourself at the same time.

5.    Seeing your own power

Experiencing how powerful you are is priceless and unparalleled. It removes the mental and social constructs that were previously holding you back from being who you really are.

Get started now:

You can do this through realizing all your accomplishments throughout your life both large and small and tangible and intangible. Think about how many things you’re overcome despite several crippling emotional traumas and damage. Also you can try doing something you never believed you could. By accomplishing this big internal goal, your view of yourself will skyrocket and you will finally see the power you already hold.

6.    Things you love

Being in the presence of things you love activates a type of peace within you that connects you with source and changes how you view everything in your life.

Get started now:

If you don’t necessarily know how to find the “feeling” of loving something, you can begin with being grateful for what you have. This gratitude will open you to see, or even create, things that you love. You can start by focusing on your gratitude for a certain person who is in your life, family, partner, etc. Also you can start through being thankful for the things you have such as hot water, a fridge full of delicious food, not having to worry about bills, etc. These things will inspire gratitude in you and make it easier for you to remove mental blocks that will stop you from achieving your goals.

7.    Seeking truth

Starting a search for truth will open up doors in yourself you never knew you had. This search will nourish your soul and have you craving to learn, understand and become all you are.

Get started now:

Sometimes we get numb from being lied to so much in society and even in our households. This can make you not even know what ground to stand on, and if you don’t have that they why even try? Absolving lies within your psyche and your life by searching for truth is not only internally empowering and gratifying, but gives you secure ground to stand on which will inspire you to your passions and internal journey toward your journey and purpose.

With inspiration awakening the hidden power inside you, you will not only be in a good place to help others but you will also heal and help yourself in ways you never imagined.

Inspiration gives you clarity of mind, not always to a specific thing, but will with time 100% guide you to finding it.

This inspiration awakens the passion and completeness within yourself that is the very thing that will lead you to your true life purpose.

Trust me, you’ll know it when you find it.

And then you will be free and never work or grieve another day in your life.

Love and light to you always.

What types of life situations cause chronic unhealthy stress and toxic coping methods?

Stress is a hot topic considering everything going on.

All that, plus all the stress you’re under your job and your family.

It is quite a lot to handle and I for one commend you for doing such a great job.

We all know high levels of stress can cause physical health problems as well as emotional damage that spans long past the original offenses. But what types of things actually cause chronic stress?

In this post we will detail the 5 types of situations, from childhood or adult living, that can cause chronic destructive stress levels.

  1. Situations that cause you to doubt yourself

These type of situations make you doubt your intuition and the things you know.

The damage: Having these things happen to you erodes your self assurance and confidence in yourself. It makes you think that you don’t know what you what’s real or not real for yourself. This makes you accept what other people say and the world around you without looking to yourself to understand, make sense of things, and know what’s best for you. It teaches you to silence your inner voice and who you are.

Example: You meet your sister’s new boyfriend and he may be acting nice, but he feels like a controlling manipulative person. When you try to mention this to her, she reacts bad to you and says you’re trying to sabotage her. You know this isn’t true so you never mention it again, but his dishonesty stresses you out because you want better for your sister.

  1. Situations that cause you to devalue yourself

These type of situations make you have an bad stigma about who you are.

The damage: These type of things cause you to shun against anything that is pure and of you. Over time the thought of being yourself completely turns you off. You will just look to external sources of what you should be to tell you who you think you “are.” You will no longer want to explore the depth and innerworkings or yourself because you will view such things as frivolous or a “waste of time.”

Example: You are younger and you did drawings all the time and you wrote poetry because it made you feel super happy. You exclaim to your family that you wanted to do this all the time, but they tell you that if you do, you will have no money and therefore it will actually make you unhappy. They tell you how broke you’ll be and how you’ll have no food and no family. Immediately you associate being purely you with being externally unhappy. This becomes one of your base beliefs and you approach more and more of your life with that premise inside.

  1. Situations that cause you to be dishonest

This situations make you avert from the truth. No matter how obvious it is.

The damage: When the truth is shown to you, you will run away from it. And then most people’s next step is to get angry about it. These types of these things make you more susceptible to deception, trickery, and illusion; then they weaponize you to defend its lies.

Example: Your parents were very verbally and emotionally abusive with each other and the conflict makes you sad. Naturally you feel this all the time, but over time, they force you to be happy and keep your feelings inside. They tell you “what goes on in this house, stays in this house.” And any time you show anything but a smile, they tell you to suck it up and act like “nothing’s wrong with you.”

  1. Situations that cause erode stability

These situations make you on question those things that you need on the daily to be comfortable such as your shelter, food, money, etc.

The damage: Being in situations that erode feelings of stability make it hard for you to “settle.” It will be very hard for you to ever have peace in your environment because internally you will always be waiting for the other shoe to drop. You will think at any moment the rug will be pulled from under you and you will go shattering to the ground in a million pieces. Now it is reasonable to be prepared for things, but being overly protective and irrational will damage your relationships as well as damage how you relate to the world as a whole.

Example: When you were younger, your family had problems paying rent sometimes so you, your siblings and mom moved around a lot between family members homes. Although it made you really close with your family the uncertainty of your surroundings because of money put you in a constant fear of not having it. When you get older as a result you become a workaholic, not because you enjoy your job, but because you feel you have to because you are scared of loosing your livelihood, and you feel you need work like that to be grateful.

  1. Situations that cause fear

These type of situations challenge your view of the world, or threaten to change the way you live your life.

The damage: These type of situations are potentially hideous because they are put you internally in survival mode. This severely impedes logical thinking processes and problem solving. This fear is a cancer that burns every logical center in your mind and makes you blind, ignorant, and illogical because you are in fight or flight mode.

Example: You read a newspaper that says there are “dangerous gangs” and that you should watch out for in your local area because they are “coming to destroy your home and all that you’ve built.” This statement blinds you to all logic of how to properly address this and you instead go to profile people based on the past identified people. You begin to watch people and make them feel unwelcome and disrespected. You though, see none of this because in your mind you are in protector mode and they are directly “attacking your life”.

Acknowledging these situations and their presence within your life, will not only give you your own power back, but will also help you to identify them in your future.

Acknowledging the type of effects these levels of stress can have on you will allow you to approach stressful situations with more knowledge.

You will no longer be blindsided by the anxiousness.

You will know what it is and what it can do to you, therefore you know how to process the emotions so they do not hurt your present and future even more.

Love and light to you 😊

Much love and happiness.

How do you know if your stress level and response is toxic or transformative?

Stress, like everything has a balance of good and bad.

Overall, all times are stress are meant to inspire change, but there are different levels.

The most important thing of all is to remember that it is a temporary experience that is there to serve you and not hurt you.

But that does not mean that it is not uncomfortable and painful.

The way you view your stress is the key to your victory and it’s purpose.

Understanding the stress will give you the victory.

This post will give you the feelings and indicators to look for to know weather your stress is something you can live with and pass, or something that you need to let go of to flourish.

Signs of Helpful Stress

  1. Do you feel motivated to find a solution?

This stress inspires you to stop it one day so it never has to happen again. It pushes you to a solution clearly and vividly. Here is an example:

Stress: Forgetting to pay a phone bill not because you didn’t have the money, but because you kept procrastinating.

Solution: Having a schedule in which you play bills in designated times throughout the month.

  1. Did you understand how it could benefit you in the long run?

Some stresses are “rites of passage” so to speak and can prepare you for the rigor of other things similar. This type of stress might be uncomfortable has a long term purpose.

Stress: College Class assignments converging within the same week

Solution: Do some of the assignments progressively before the week everything converges so you can focus on just getting though that week and maintain your balance and peace.

  1. Inspire compassion and understanding from you

This type of stress inspires you to have more compassion for other people and things. It does not mean you accept their actions, but it means that it causes you to be able to let go and realize certain things are out of your control. This causes you to have compassion for yourself and understand the things that are in your control.

Stress: An immense traffic jam might occur just before work, this causes immense stress and if it happens along your route, you blame yourself for going the wrong way. You blame you and you blame the traffic jam.

Solution: Accept that this is out of your control, is not your fault, and just prepare in case it happens. This calmness will reduce stress, help you to stop blaming yourself, and increase your understanding and power to those things you can control.

  1. Inspire higher standards

This type of stress causes you to want to be a better version of yourself either physically, mentally, or spiritually. It inspires you to build yourself up to be all you can become.

Stress: A translator is your dream job and it pays more than you get paid now. In order to get a certification you have to learn 3 languages, 7 classes, and get 2 certifications.

Solution: You rise to challenge and develop habits that put you along that path to both dreams: your passion and abundance.

Steps to keep momentum:

  1. Make a decision to be happy internally. The stress presented will not derail who you are or your confidence in your heart. This happiness will help you have a clearer simpler head, even if it’s only for the small things. This vibration of joy will leak all parts of your life. Even the stressful parts.
  2. Follow your intuition. Internally you know what to do to break yourself from the chains of stress and get through. Follow the impulses and inspiration you feel.
  3. Construct a life you like piece by piece, from the smallest brick. Soon after starting this you will look up and realize you have created a castle.
  4. Use Mantras/positive affirmation. Preferably say them in the mirror whenever you have time throughout the day. This will change subconscious programing that has you mentally imprisoned.

Starting off:

  • Things are always working out for me.
  • Mistakes are a stepping stone to success. They are the path I must tread to achieve my dreams.
  • I allow myself to release judgement from the past. I have no guilt and shame.
  • I have great ideas, and can greatly contribute to the world.

Signs of Harmful Levels of Stress

  1. You see no light @end of tunnel

Stress: Depression from a familial culture of abuse and emotional stunting.

  1. Can’t visualize not having problem

Stress: A narcissistic family unit that is headed by someone who seeks to extinguish your uniqueness. But you feel lost if you did not have your family due to emotional dependence and isolation.

  1. Pain is no longer being processed, just festering

Stress: An abuse relationship where you feel you are trapped. The pain that you continue to feel cauterizes and calluses you to where you start to abuse others because you are in pain.

  1. You don’t want to even try to fix it, it’s too painful

Stress: A family member was very abusive emotionally but they took care of you during a rough time. This person you love, but they continue to hurt and suppress you. Instead of realizing this is wrong, you just don’t address what they did because it’s so painful.

Steps to fix:

  1. Try to get a moment of solitude and just be for a moment. This moment will give you a moment of emotional rest.
  2. When things get rough and you feel overwhelmed. Develop a space inside yourself where you go for peace. This will keep you from reactivity and overwhelm.

But do not do this too often, because it can cause despondence and disconnection with your life with others. Use only as a method of gaining clarity.

  1. Try to separate yourself from the situation physically for a few hours, days, or as much as you can. Be one with yourself. How do these things make you feel? Be honest and open with yourself.
  2. Once you know how feel, know that by you feeling this way you have verifiable proof that whatever is going on is not right. Validate yourself in that safe space. From this space of clarity and acceptance of what is happening, think clearly: is there a way that it can be fixed? Do not judge yourself.

Tools to use in the height of overwhelm:

During the situation, the best you can do is talk to the inner subconscious you to keep you from spiraling out of control.

You can say this out loud or to yourself.

  1. I have control over how I feel, and I choose to feel at peace no matter.
  2. All experiences are helping me grow.
  3. I give myself permission to let go of what no longer serves me.

These statements will calm you in the throws of calamity and anger. From this space you will have clarity and know how to move forward.

This post will give you the power and discernment to realize certain stresses that are good, or not good, for you.

From this place you will clearly know the solution on how to move on from this place of uncomfortability.

Much love and light to you.
